One minute to a calm inbox.
Brise is downloading as a .zip. Load it into Chrome with the five steps below — it takes about a minute, and there's nothing to sign up for.
Download didn't start? Re-download Brise.
- 1
Unzip the folder
Open the downloaded
brise-for-gmail.zipand unzip it. You'll get a folder namedbrise. - 2
Open the extensions page
In a new Chrome tab, go to . (It's not clickable from a web page, so copy & paste it.)
- 3
Turn on Developer mode
Flip the Developer mode toggle in the top-right corner of that page.
- 4
Load unpacked
Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped
brisefolder. - 5
Open Gmail, press ⌘K
Head to
mail.google.com, press ⌘ K, and fly. Brise is already working.
Keep the folder. Brise loads directly from the unzipped brise folder — don't delete or move it, or Chrome will lose the extension. Park it somewhere permanent (not your Downloads).
Why Developer mode? Brise isn't on the Chrome Web Store yet, so you load it directly — the same trusted install developers use every day. It's exactly why Brise is free today: no store fees, no account, nothing to recoup. Works in Chrome 120+ (Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge).
